Origins

혼자서 북치고 장구치면서 어떻게 이런 음악을 만들어내는지 놀라울 뿐이다. 매번 앨범이 나올때마다 이전 작과 비슷한 것 같으면서 뭔가 진화한 듯한 사운드는 또 다음 작품을 기대하게 된다.

작년에 싱글컷된 origins, beyond the wall을 듣자마자 기대에 차서 정규를 기다렸는데 역시나 실망시키지 않았다. Saor 특유의 토속적이면서도 아름다운 멜로디가 하나의 거대한 자연을 그린다. 곡도 짧아져서 부담 없이 들을 수 있는 게 장점. 스코티쉬 포크 사운드를 쓰는 밴드가 메탈계 내에선 거의 없는데 그런 사운드를 좋아하는 나로선 saor이 참 고마울 따름이다.

Absolutely one of the best albums in 2022

So powerful and beautiful, and played with such expertise including interesting and impressive drum work. This is maybe equal to Forgotten Paths (my favorite by Saor) or maybe even better. The sparse singing works so well, I think Andy has become a first rate songwriter over the years. It's hard to stop talking about this album. I love it.
