Glam Metal의 상징적인 존재로 군림하는 Mötley Crüe는 베이스의 Nikki Sixx와 드럼의 Tommy Lee를 중심으로 결성되었으며, 후에 기타의 Mick Mars와 보컬의 Vince Nile이 합세한다. 자비로 제작한 싱글 "Stick to Your Gun"이 성과를 거두면서 Elektra 레코드사와 계약을 맺고 1981년에 데뷔앨범 "To Fast for Love"를 발표한다. 본작은 밴드의 두 번째 작품으로 장르의 고전으로서 높은 평가를 받고 있다. 복잡하고 따분한 걸 제일 싫어하는 이들인 만큼 단순하고 직선적인 리프와 8비트의 전형을 들려주고 있다. 섹스, 마약 등 쾌락주의를 대변한다.

머틀리 크루는 내 취향에는 참 안 맞는 밴드이다.
개인적으로 팝 메탈,글램 메탈, LA 메탈 - 헤어 메탈도 좋아라 하지만, 머틀리 크루 1집부터 들어봐도 내 취향은 확실히 아니다.
그러나 이 Dr.Feelgood은 내가 이쪽 계열 앨범에서 가장 좋아하는 앨범이고, GN'R의 앨범보다 더 후한 점수를 준... Read More
