러쉬의 12번째 앨범, 역시 러쉬의 음반은 빈틈이 없다. 우주적인 키보드 사운드와 기타, 베이스, 드럼이 조화롭게 울려퍼지는데 도저히 흠잡을 구석이 없다. 그저 멍때리고 우와.... 하면서 조용히 즐겨주면 된다. 어떤곡 하나 튀어서 와 이 곡 진짜 좋다!! 라고 생각하는곡도 없지만 처음부터 끝까지 집중을 안하게 만드는 곡도 없다. 완벽한 앨범중 하나라고 할까... 조용히 꾸준히 자신들의 스타일을 이대로 고수하는 러쉬라는 그룹은 참 대단하다.

Hold Your Fire marks the end of their synth-heavy era. The songs are really strong but I wish they've done a more guitar oriented work. Still, it's an amazing album, which is the important part, isn't it?

개인적으론 중후반기 최고작중 하나라고 생각하는 앨범으로 그 옛날 특히 1,2,7번 곡을 처음 들었을때의 느낌을 아직 잊을 수 없다.

러쉬의 앨범중에서 신스가 가장 많이 섞이 앨범이라 호불호가 많이 갈리는데, 본인은 참 잘 들었다. 인생을 뒤돌아보는 느낌이라고 해야 하나?
