밴드의 리더인 기타리스트 Christopher Amott의 음악적 센스와 연주 감각을 느낄 수 있는 작품이다. 그는 기본적인 테크닉도 좋지만 음악에 대한 전반적인 이해도가 상당히 높은 것 같다. 특히 연주곡인 7번 트랙을 들어보면 그의 뛰어난 재능이 느껴진다. 베이스, 드럼과의 밸런스도 좋고 보컬의 능력치도 매력적이다.

한창 아치에너미 열풍(?)이 불때 나와서 즐겁게 들은 앨범. Racer x 류의 헤비메탈인데 간혹 아치에너미 멜로디가 들린다.
Blind fury, worlds apart, cry of fate를 많이 들었고 grain of sand 의 서정적인면도 주목할만 하다.
