이렇게 심포닉이 섞이면 좀 말랑말랑 해질만도 한데 데스코어의 빡셈 본연의 맛을 그대로 지키며 심포닉까지 적절히 잘 섞인 아주 잘 만든 앨범

TAIM 과 white chapel이 보컬로 밴드의 색을 만든다면 carnifex는 사운드로 색을 만드는 느낌이다. 이전 앨범 slow death가 어두컴컴한 지하실 같은 느낌이었다면 이번 앨범은 앨범 이름답게 전쟁터의 처절함을 강조한 느낌이다. 러닝타임은 30분으로 짧은편에 속하고 중간에 깜짝 등장한 AE 보컬 엘리사 피쳐링으로 데스 장르의 단점인 단조로움과 피로함을 줄여줬다.
