분위기가 좋기는한데, 50분내내 노래하는 여자보컬이 매우 피곤하겠습니다. 감칠맛나게 포인트로만 사용했어야하는 재료를, 정도를 모르고 주구장창 사용하고있으니 질리기도 질리고, 다른 재료들의 풍미까지 잡아먹는 안타까운 선택입니다. 유기성이 좋다못해 곡의 구분이 아예 안되는 수준으로, 데뷔작에서 보여준게 이 친구 역량의 전부였다는 생각이듭니다.

보컬 없이 여자 코러스와 남자 스크리밍이 전체적으로 분위기를 조성하고, 기타와 다른 효과음들이 앨범 표지에 흘러가는 강물처럼 별다른 변곡점없이 유유히 흐르기만 한다. 특별히 인상적인 부분은 없고, 맨 처음 코멘트처럼 '백그라운드 뮤직'으로서의 정체성이 더 돋보이는 듯한 앨범. 아무 부담없이 뭔가 딴짓하면서 작업용으로 틀어놓기에 적절하다.

"A Dark Forgotten Past" is quite similar to its preceding album "The Force of the Ancient Land" (2016), but it features higher quality compositions. Great as background music.
