This album was released in a very limited amount by the band themselves in September of 2005. It was later released officially through Witches Brew with two extra tracks from their 2003 demo: "The Survival Option" and "M.A.D."

Thrash Metal하면 Metallica와 Megadeth, Slayer를 배출한 미국, 아니면 Kreator와 Sodom, Destruction을 낳은 독일이 생각난다. 의아하게 생각되는 것은 정작 메탈 음악을 탄생시킨 영국에는 이렇다할 밴드가 없다는 것이다. 미국에서 Big 4 이외에도 Overkill나 Testament, Exodus 같은 거물 밴드들이 연이어 출현했던 것에 비해 영국에는 정말 스래쉬 메탈로 이름을 떨친 밴드가 없다시피하다. 영국은 분명 80년대 헤비 메탈의 본산이었지만, 동시에 스래쉬 메탈씬은 기이하게도 불모 상태였다. 그러다보니 이따금씩 나오는 영국 출신의 스래쉬 메탈 밴드들은 기이하게 생각된다. Gama Bomb가 바로 그러하다. 이들은 황량하다시피한 영국에서 탄생한 스래쉬 메탈 밴드이다. 이들의 데뷔앨범 Survival of the Fastest에 실린 연주에서는 Punk와 Metalcore 성향이 묻어나고 있기는 하지만, 80년대 스래쉬 메탈 특유의 파괴적인 에너지를 느낄 수 있다. 요즘에 나오는 스래쉬 메탈 밴드들 중에는 Progressive한 작곡 구성으로 과한 시도를 하는 밴드도 종종 볼 수 있는데, Gama Bomb는 그러한 경향과는 명백하게 선을 긋고 있다. 이들은 2분에서 3분대의 짧고 심플한 형태의 작곡을 지향한다. 밴드는 "Simple is best"라는 격언을 몸소 실천하고 있는 듯하다. 그러다보니 스래쉬 메탈을 그렇게까 ...
