kombinácia Black/Heavy Metal -u. Rev/krik je black metalový, ale hudba čerpá výrazne z heavy metalu, pričom plynie prevažne v strednom tempe a občas pasáže skombinuje s rýchlejšou alebo naopak pomalšou časťou (práve tie sú viac blackové, prípadne aj doom -ové). Zároveň na mňa občas pôsobia old school -ovo. Zvuk mohol byť lepší, ale väčšina BM kapiel zvuk nerieši. Gitary sú podarené, bicie sú slabšie (hlavne zvukovo) a občasne využité klávesy majú nepodarený zvuk. V siedmej piesni "At the Blessed Grotto" použili orgán, začiatok je biedy - akoby orgán len skúšali a stred piesni je prebraný. Texty ma nezaujali. Celkovo ma v poslednom čase dokáže zaujať máloktorá black metalová kapela. Je to skôr pre pravoverných BM fans.

사실 나는 Mocking the Philanthropist를 안 사도 된다. 이미 가지고 있는 이들의 컴필레이션 Castrate the Redeemer가 이 Mocking the Philanthropist와 1996년의 ep를 합친 구성이기 때문이다.
그래도 굳이 이 풀렝스를 손에 쥔 이유는 이들이 보여주는 사운드에 대한 존경심과 성서동화삽화에 손질을 한 그 특유의 자켓에 대한 미칠듯한 소유욕 때문이다. 음악만으로도 무조건이다.
