북구 노르웨이의 사악한(가끔은 좀 웃겼던) 불멸자들이 돌아왔다. 비록 아바스가 나갔지만 썩어도 준치라고 일정 수준 이상은 확실히 보여주는 양질의 블랙메탈 사운드다.

자꾸만 이들의 초기작들과 비교를 해서 그렇지 실망스러운 작품은 아닌듯. 흡입력과 탄성을 자아내는 리프가 많이 없다는 것이 좀 안타깝고 반복되는 코러스가 때론 지루하게 느껴진다

처음 Northern Chaos Gods가 공개 됐을때 기대가 컸는데...첫곡이 베스트 트렉 같습니다. 앨범 전반적인 분위기는 전형적인 immortal 후기 앨범 스타일임. 의리로 조금 +해서 90점!!!

강렬한 1번 트랙덕분에 꽤 기대했던 앨범... Abbath의 부재에도 불구하고, 의외로 나쁘지않은 결과물이 나왔다.
