Almost as great an album as its predecessor, although the level drops a bit towards the end. The closing track "To Tame A Land" is admittedly an underrated masterpiece of the band's production. The album contains a lot of references to literature and movies. It is also the debut of the band's longtime drummer Nicko McBrain, and an extremely successful one at that. Really good album, Iron Maiden was undeniably the king of the 80s!

스티브 해리스의 베이스가 불을 뿜는다. 아이언 메이든 특유의 프로그레시브함과 헤비니스의 조화도 이 앨범에서 이미 완성됨. 아이언 메이든의 대표 명반 중 하나로 개인적으로는 넘버 오브 비스트나 파워슬레이브보다 더 좋아함.

A pretty great album actually, although not as good as 'Beast' or 'Powerslave'. To Tame A Land is an underrated classic.

앨범 전체를 관통하는 희망찬(?) 분위기와 달려줄때는 시원하게 달려주면서 테크니컬한 투 기타의 조합이 너무나도 멋진 앨범.

I would say that Powerslave is better. But this is still an overall solid album.

전작이 워낙 좋아서 이 앨범이 별로라고 느껴질 수 있는 단점이 있다. 하필 다음 앨범도 파워슬레이브라서 말이다. 오늘따라 홀수 트랙들이 다 좋게 느껴진다.

Yesterday this great album became 40 years! Very good album with the songs Flight of Icarus, The trooper, Die with your boots on, Still life and Quest of fire. Up's, not 30, 40 years time flies so fast!

브루스 디킨슨의 전성기 시절 퍼포먼스를 가감없이 느낄 수 있는 명반으로, 너무나 유명한 The Trooper 외에도 주옥 같은 명곡들로 가득찬 보석 같은 앨범이다. 전곡이 다 좋지만 개인적으로 Revelations, 간결함과 비장미의 극치를 보여주는 Flight of Icarus, 보컬 라인이 훌륭한 Quest for Fire, 듄을 주제로 한 환상적인 대곡 To Tame a Land를 추천한다.
