predný obal zatiaľ posledného albumu "The Work" je celkom podarený a zaujímavý. Celkovo sa dá povedať, že Rivers of Nihil majú zaujímavé obaly albumov, avšak najdôležitejšia je hudba. Štýlovo idú trošku mimo mňa, pretože uprednostňujem skôr iné metalové žánre. Po hudobnej stránke kombinujú Technical Death Metal/Metalcore a občas nejaké pomalé inštrumentálne/melancholické pasáže. Niektoré piesne ma viac zaujali, niektoré menej. Práve tie pomalé, melancholické alebo variabilné časti sa mi najviac pozdávajú v kombinácii s tvrdými gitarami a bicími. Menej ma zaujal rev a growling, ide trochu akoby do metalcore-u. Na druhej strane, zaujímavá je kombinácia tvrdého revu/growlingu a melodickým a hovoreným spevom. V tom sú aspoň pestrejší. Zaujímavé je aj využitie saxofónu. Väčšinou ho nemusím, ale tu je v malej miere a naozaj len dopĺňa len piesne, plus je zaujímavo využitý.

음악을 주물렀다 폈다 하는 솜씨가 일품이다. 오히려 명반이냐 아니냐 설왕설래가 많았던 전작보다 더 많은 사람에게 어필할 것이 분명하다. 킬링 트랙의 부재가 아쉽지만, 그런 음악을 하는 밴드가 애초에 아니고, 앨범 전체적 구성이 너무 좋아서 지루하지 않게 감상할 수 있다. 접었다 폈다 하다가 마지막 terrestria 에서 기가 막히게 문을 닫는다.

This is one of the best albums I have heard. while I love where owls know my name this project is better to me, maybe because this was the first project I heard from them but I think it's because I resonate more with the mental health theme throughout the album.

I get that feeling like, 'Ooo what a treat' when this album is playing. I know Archspire's 2021 album got more praise, and I recognize that band's skill, but The Work is definitely more my style when it comes to technical death metal.

after the first couple listens liked it, but had not scrutinized it yet... After Several Listens, Absolutely, Loved the Album even better than Where Owls Know My Name.

이런저런 실험성으로 타의 추종을 불허하는 허적함은 압권이나 로우템포의 남용으로 정작 묵직히 때려넣을 비트감은 부족하다. 충분히 그루브를 더 갖고 놀았다면 차세대 오페스 감이었겠지만 아직 그정도는 아닌 걸로. 오히려 메탈과는 거리를 둔 1, 3번이 킬링트랙.
