Urth II Comments

Not what I typically imagine when I think of death/doom, but the elements are there. There is evidently a fair degree of humor to the album (I see why the band refers to itself as direct-to-video), but they are clearly apt songwriters. The album stays serious enough to keep the concept interesting. Its biggest strengths are the grooves the guitar gets into and the vocal variations throughout. Could do with a little more intricacy, but overall an unexpectedly solid album!

This death doom has a kinda bluesy and groovy element to it. It's very refreshing and unique. Their album cover conveys a certain sense of humor, and that sense echoes in their songwriting, which has a playfulness that is a real strength to this album.
