The Who가 선사하는 즐거운 록. 66년 작품으로 그시절 활동했던 밴드들이라면 비틀즈, 롤링스톤즈, 킹크스등이 떠오르고, 뭐 이미 잘 알려져있듯 그들이 록앤롤로 미국을 침공하며 들려준 음악과 큰 차이없는 사운드입니다. 본작은 The Who 역시 그 일원이 될 충분한 자격을 갖췄다는 증거가 됩니다. 인류 첫 그로울링을 담고있으며 록오페라의 프로토타입도 보입니다.

더 후가 왜 60년대 밴드들 중 가장 시끄러웠는지에 대해선 이 앨범을 권하고 싶다.물론 진정 느끼고 싶다면 라이브만한 게 없다만...Boris the Spider는 최초의 그로울링이 들어간 곡.
