생각했던것만큼 막장은 아니었지만 다음 앨범에서 얼마나 더 변해버릴지 두려운 앨범.
Tristania 특유의 그 어둡고 찝찝하다고 해야하나... 그랬던 느낌이 좀 사라지고 전체적으로 발랄해진것 같습니다.
하지만 비베케의 대타로 들어온 Mary는 생각보다 괜찮더라구요. 트리스타니아가 여기서 더이상 삽질을 안한다면 오히려 Sirenia보다도 더 나을것같습니다.
가장 좋았던 노래를 꼽자면 단연 "Illumination"... 그 다음으로 꼽자면 "Protection"이랑 바이올린 소리가 인상깊던 "Amnesia"...
하지만 나머지 곡들은 들을땐 좋아도 이게 트리스타니아 노래라는걸 떠올리면 좀 슬퍼지더군요.

이유는 모르겠지만 러시아엔 예쁜 프론트 우먼과 적당적당한 음악을 들고와서 메탈씬을 연예계 등용문처럼 이용하는 밴드가 타국에 비해 많은 것 같다. 이 앨범도 딱 그런 느낌. 특히 Patriot Games같은 거. 앨 범 내에 Illumination의 퀄리티가 압도적으로 좋았는데, 굳이 적당한 걸 타이틀로 잡은 건 또 무슨 생각인 것이냐 대체. 혹시나 했는데 역시 다시 들어도 시망.

의외로 차분해서 만족은 했습니다. 건질 곡도 있고 뭐... 여기까진 나쁘진 않았음. 하지만 Østen Bergøy 까지 빠졌나본데 이후의 행보가 불안하다는 점에는 이견이 없네요.
