HSAS는 반 헤일런, 져니, 산타나의 멤버인 Sammy Hagar, Neal Schon, Kenny Aaronson, Michael Shrieve가 모여 1984년에 만든 프로젝트 그룹입니다.
영국 출신의 프로그레시브 락그룹 프로콜 하럼(Procol Harem)의 1967년 A Whiter Shade Of Pale은 무겁고 장중한 맛이 나는 반면, HSAS의 리메이크 곡은 강한 락 비트와 속도감이 느껴집니다.
특히 원곡에서의 오르간 연주(J. S. 바흐의 코럴 전주곡(Coral Prelude))를 닐 숀이 호쾌한 기타 연주로 완벽하게 재해석하고 있습니다.
전율이 느껴질 정도로 깊은 울림으로...
역시 Neal Schon의 연주는 들을때마다 깊은 감동을 느낍니다.
