만약 Thergothon과 Skepticism이 이렇게 한심하게 곡을 썼으면 누가 그들을 퓨네럴 둠의 파이오니어로 인정해줬을까. 씬에서 10년을 활동하고도 제대로 되기는 커녕 형태를 갖춘 기타 리프조차 단 하나를 만들지 못하는 Stijn의 역량에 깊은 절망을 느끼게 만든다. 어떤 의미로 진정한 둠. 수어사이드 블랙이나 워 메탈도 이런 마이페이스 수준의 밴드가 많긴 한게 사실이다. 하지만 해당 장르가 만들어내는 분위기를 자신의 저열한 창작 능력과 연주력을 가리는 수단으로 썼다는 점에서 훨씬 더 질이 나쁘다. 스티븐 오말리라는 걸출한 사기꾼이 생각나기도 하나 그는 최소한 Thorr's Hammer에서 멀쩡한 연주도 시키면 할 수는 있다는 것을 증명한 바 있고, 그 사기의 수준 자체도 스팸문자와 신용사기 정도로 차이가 크다.
