래인에서 윌리엄으로 교체되고 더 이상 AIC의 새 앨범을 듣지 않고 있었다. 읊조리는 어눌한 음색과 격정적인 그만의 감정표현을 누구도 대체할 수 없다고 생각했기 때문이다.윌리엄의 보컬 음색은 확실히 래인에 비하면 뭔가 부족한 그러니까 약에 취하지 않은 깔끔한 면을 갖고 있다. 그러나 확실히 기타리프면에서는 뭔가 풍부해진듯하다. 제리 혼자만의 변화는 아닐 것이다. 윌리엄이 팀에 들어옴으로써 기타 사운드에서 묻어나는 분위기가 한층 더 부각되는 듯 하다. 오랜 세월 밴드가 활동하면서 음악적 변화는 필수적인 부분이고 이 정도이면 성공적이라고 할 수 있지 않을까

이 앨범을 당시에 듣고 aic에 대한 편견을 완전히 버렸다. 굉장히 어두운 음악을 좋아한다면 꼭 시청해야 할 앨범이라고 생각한다. 다른 그런지 밴드하고는 느낌이 이제 너무 달라지고 자기만의 색깔이 더욱 확실해지고 능숙하고 노련하다. 이 이후로 18년도(직구만이 가능) 앨범을 제외한 모든 스튜디오 앨범을 가지게 되었다. 그만큼 나에게는 aic 앨범 중 최고

I don't know why I was expecting it to be weaker than the 2013 album. I'm especially struck by how much beauty is in the melodies of all these very well-written songs.

Jerry Cantrell once stepped on a dirt plain. His trampling is so heavy that the dirt has turned into diamond.

A reunion album without Layne Staley. Definitely has the eponymous AIC album vibe and is pretty darn good.
