Armory의 데뷔 앨범은, 이 밴드의 보컬이 Tobias Sammet하고 비슷한 목소리로 노래를 부른다는 소문을 듣고 찾아듣게 되었다. 작품에 대한 관심보단 다른 부분에 대한 호기심으로 찾아듣게 된 셈인데, 이 들의 데뷔 앨범 The Dawn of Enlightenment를 처음 들었을 때에는 귀를 의심하지 않을 수가 없었다. 이 앨범을 접하고 처음에 놀랐던 사실은 역시 이 밴드 보컬의 목소리톤이 Tobias Sammet하고 소문대로 흡사한 점이었다. Armory가 Tobias Sammet의 알려지지 않은 프로젝트 밴드인 줄 알았다. 두 번째로 놀라웠던 사실은 전혀 기대도 하지 않았던 밴드의 앨범이 상당히 잘 만들어진 작품이라는 것이다. 파워 메탈 일변도인 이 앨범은 뛰어난 멜로디와 스피드로 힘차게 잘 달리는 작품으로, 매우 순도 높은 작품이라 할 수 있겠다. Armory가 데뷔 앨범을 낼 시기에는 이미 유로피언 파워 메탈 씬에서는 다종의 장르간 이종교배가 정신없이 이루어지고 있던 시기다. 이렇게 파워 메탈 한 분야에 올인한 작품도 그리 많지 않다. 트렌드와 멀어서 그런지 실력에 비해 전혀 주목을 받지 못한 밴드라고 생각되는데, 이는 아쉽게 생각되는 바이다.
