fínsky Battlelore kombinujú na novinke melodický Epický/Symfonický Power/Gothic Metal, pričom opäť účinne kombinujú tvrdosť s melódiami. Album "The Return of the Shadow" delí od predošlého počinu 11 rokov. Ženský spev Kaisa Jouhki je naďalej príjemný, pritom nenudí, Tomi Mykkänen posunul svoj mužský spev k väčšej rozmanitosti (melodický spev, hovorené slovo, rev. V trvrdších pasážach mi občas pripomenú krajanov Amorphis).

First I heard from this band. It definitely has beauty. I'm not crazy about it, but they're pros at playing and singing. Maybe I prefer unorthodox compositions and freak-outs too much. I have a feeling people who love epic power metal with symphonic instrumentation will like this a lot more than me. If that's you, give it a try.
