이때가 진짜 메틀코어(아메리칸코어,NWOAHM)와 모던 멜데스의 최고 붐이었고 그 사운드가 메틀코어인지 멜데스인지 경계 구분도 모호하며 전통을 추구하던 밴드들도 새로운 사운드의 도입에 맞추어 하이브리드 스타일의 사운드를 배출해 낼때 오히려 트렌드와 세련미를 쫓지 않는 Fear My Thoughts의 사운드에 더욱 끌렸는지도 모르겠다. 모던 멜데스의 사운드의 정석 교과서 그 자체 중립을 잘 지킨 앨범.
