F&J sa od vydania tretieho albumu vybrali cestou zmien a spomalenia. Ugly Noise sa vyznačuje tvrdým zvukom (ako v prípade predošlého albumu) a hudobne prechádza od heavy/power metal až po prog. metal/rock + Eric A.K. má od začiatku kariéry na posledných albumoch snáď najlepší spev.
