게리무어 아저씨는 기타도 잘치셨고 노래도 잘부르셨고 곡도 잘쓰셨고. 떠돌던 얘기로는 한때 블루스 정통주의자들에게 진정한 블루스가 아니라며 비판받았다고 하는데, 팝 발라드적인 감각으로 이렇게 맛깔나고 멋스럽게 뽑아내는걸, 거기에 순혈 잣대를 들이대서 게리무어는 진짜 블루스가 아니다 이래버리면, 그냥 이걸 못 즐기는 게 안타까울 뿐인데말이죠.

당시 대학 동창모임때 카페에서 이 앨범 음악들이 흘러나오는데 한 여자동기 왈, '음악 너무 느끼하지 않아?' 그때 그 말을 들어서인지 나중에 다시들어보는데 정말 이런 블루스는 느끼해서 이후로는 잘 안찾게 되더라.. 그 친구 뱉은 단순한 말이 지금생각해보면 락 음악 감상에 어느정도 일가견이 있었던듯..ㅎ
