우리가 알고 있는 멜로딕데스와는 다소 차이가 있고, 정확하게는 멜로딕한 모던 스래쉬메탈의 형태로 계속 진화해나가는 느낌이다. 1~2년마다 꾸준하게 앨범을 발표하는 팀인데도 불구하고 꽤나 준수한 앨범을 꾸준하게 내주는 효자 같은 팀. 앨범 후반부 두 곡에서 터져나오는 애상적이고 비장미 넘치는 분위기가 참으로 인상적이다.

Ah, how Kataklysm changed. Some say they changed for the better; some say the opposite. For me, all of their catalogue is pretty badass, and one pretty badass album is this one.
