기승전결?같은 느낌이 드는 멜로딕컬과 속도와의 조절이 아주 뛰어난 Wolves In The Throne Room 의 데뷔앨범 입니다.미국블랙=유럽블랙?이라는 공식보다 동급의 대륙별 느낌보다 한단계 떨어지는 블랙장르?라고 느껴지기도 합니다.물론 뛰어난 밴드도 있지만 서도 전체적으로 유럽씬보다 밀리게 느껴지는건 저뿐만이 아닐꺼라도 보여집니다.데뷔앨범치고는 자기들만의 스타일보다 혼합한 그런 미국식/유럽식 이다 아니다 라고 말하기 보다,멜로딕컬하면서도 속도의 조화가 건조하지 않으면서도 뭐가 솟구치는 듯한 그런 느낌의 앨범입니다.결정적으로 대곡 위주의 스타일을 속도보다 조화로 풀어나가는 곡 구성이 짜임새 있게 나타납니다.

밴드 스스로 고딕 명반을 많이 듣고 블랙 명반을 많이 들으니 딱 표가 나듯이 북유럽 익스틈림을 많이 들었던 골수매니아는 분명히 대단히 친숙한 흐름에서도 대곡의 표현력이 장난이 아님으로 절대 무시 못하듯 전곡에서 한눈 팔새 없이 후딱 시간이 가는 중독성이 후덜덜 ㅋㅋ
