Additional notes
Exit-13 formed in January 1989 by Pat McCahan from the ashes his previous band Distorted World.
Since 1993 Exit-13 is studio only project.
About "Didactic Grind" and other unreleased plans of Exit-13:
- "Didactic Grind" had 13 new songs, which was 80+ minutes long. Three of the songs were over 11 minutes each. "Didactic grind" was like a combination of early Napalm Death and Santana. There were lots of extended jams and soloing, lots more jazz influences. Were recorded basic tracks: Steve O'Donnell - guitars, Terry Sherry - bass, Dave Witte - drums. But while recording session Bill Yurkiewicz had a car crash who didn't allow him to record vocals. Several months later, when he trying to add vocals to the recorded session, it appeared that the sound engineer devastated the whole recorded session with no possible turning back. At this point Steve and Terry had already left the band, and Bill thought that re-recording of this material without them is not a good idea.
- Exit-13 also had 9 new songs for various split 7" EP (were planned splits with Soilent Green, Bongzilla, Agathocles, Clotted Symmetric Sexual Organ, 30's actress Mae West), nearly finished in the studio, but Steve O'Donnel left the band in that moment.
- Also were planned "Smoking Songs" sequel, named "Drinking Songs".
- Before disbanding in '97 Bill announced the appearance in the band James Plotkin on guitars, Scott Hull on guitars, Rob Williams on drums.
