It's hard for me to choose which is Rainbow's best album, but most often the choice is 1978's "Long Live Rock 'N' Roll". The album simply doesn't have a single weak moment and each song supports the whole in its own way. Tracks 4 and 5 are some of the best I've heard and I think you can see the power metal foundation especially in those songs. A really good album, for me Rainbow was never the same after Dio left and that's why this album also has great sentimental value.

I greatly appreciate the band for how they managed to create their most commercially successful, and also the best, album of their career so quickly after the tragic death of Bon Scott. The song material is great, although a few songs fall quite far behind the biggest hits, even though there are no direct filler songs. The production is great and Brian Johnson shows right away on his debut who is in charge. An iconic album, almost worthy of its reputation.
