EP "Gardens of Grief" je prvá nahrávka At The Gates, pričom v diskografii kapely je najtvrdšia a najmenej učesaná. Je to skôr typická nahrávka švédskej odnože Death Metal -u, avšak už prvými náznakmi melodického DM. EP má len 4 piesne, napriek tomu je lepšie, ako nasledujúci debut.
