Holy Diver Comments

Oh boy, Dio's solo career got off to an incredible start with one of the best albums of all time! The song material is really good throughout the album and actually the only slightly weaker song (Still good) is "Invisible". The band members are also on fire and Dio is himself, the most skilled singer of all time. During the years 1975-1984, Ronnie published no fewer than 7 masterpieces, of which "Holy Diver" is the real culmination. Rest in peace master.

Holy Diver를 처음 접했을때 그냥 귀에 팍팍 박히는 느낌을 잊을수가 없다....

좋아해보려고 노력한 앨범인데, 결국 언제나 레인보우 인더 다크만 듣게 된다.

올드스쿨 헤비메탈의 매력을 일깨워준 고마운 앨범.

디오하면 홀리 다이버가 아닐까 싶다. 그리고 비비안 캠블도 디오와의 궁합이 제일 좋았다고 생각한다. 보니까 락캔디 버전은 리마스터라서 좋고 2012 디럭스 에디션은 2번째 장에 킹 비스켓 공연과 라이브 트랙, 보너스 트랙이 들어 있어서 좋다고 생각한다. 뭘 사도 좋으니 좋은 판단하셔서 필구하시길

아주 오랜 기간 손을 놓았다가 요새 다시 듣기 시작했다. 명실상부한 진정한 헤비메탈 명반이라고 자부한다. 비비언 캠벨의 공격적인 리프는 불을 뿜어대고 로니 제임스 디오의 보컬이야 두 말이 필요없다. 데뷔앨범이라고 보기 어려운 완숙미가 넘치는 이 앨범에서 특히 Rainbow in the Dark를 추천한다.

여태 코멘트를 안달았다니.. 헤비메탈의 근본이며 실력있는 멤버들의 섭외로 성공은 따놓은 당상이었다. holy diver 를 필두로 caught in the middle, don't talk to strangers, rainbow in the dark 도 양질의 트랙들이고 gypsy, invisible 은 이질적인 트랙들이다.

My 80th most played album. Ronnie James Dio - Holy Diver. Dio's first solo album, 1983 with Vivian Campbell, Jimmy Bain and Vinny Appice! It sold a million copies, another album everybody had, I guess only a million rockers in the 80's? Some of the best vocals in rock and great guitar also. Best songs; "Stand Up and Shout", "Holy Diver", and "Rainbow in the Dark".
