Vain Glory Opera에서부터 인기전선에 서게 되고 Theater Of Salvation통해 Edguy는 최고의 파워메탈밴드로 등극하게 되었다. 하지만 에드가이의 멤버들에게는 성공가도를 달리는 동안 한 가지 아쉬움이 남아 있었나 본다. 데뷔작이라고 할 수 있는 Savage Poetry의 사운드가 맘에 들지 않았던 것이다. 이들 스스로 구닥다리 스타일을 가진 앨범이라고 혹평했을 정도로 조악했다. 이 앨범이 여간 맘에 걸렸는지 재녹음을 하려고 시도했다. 결국 거의 새로운 앨범으로 제 탄생하게 된 네 번째 작품이 바로 The Savage Poetry다. 메킹내에서 에드가이의 타앨범에 비해 본작에는 별로 표가 없는데 아마도 Savage Poetry로 인한 나쁜 인상떄문인 듯하다. 그러나 본작은 Savage Poetry와는 차원이 다른 우수한 앨범이다. 별개의 작품이라고 해야 한다. 완성도 면에서도 Vain Glory Opera나 Theater Of Salvation에 비교할 만큼 훌륭하다. 꼭 집고 넘어가야 할 앨범이다.
