보통 Lizzy Borden은 American Power Metal로 분류되는 경향이 있지만, 다소 정체성이 모호한 밴드이다. 파워 메탈 밴드의 카테고리로 좀 더 많이 묶이기는 하지만, 이 밴드에서 Glam Metal적인 요소를 뺀다는 것은 밴드의 음악을 부정하는 것이기도 하다. 특히 이들의 요란한 외양은 Lizzy Borden과 글램 메탈의 친화성을 드러내 보이는 것이다. 음악 성향도 분명 Lizzy Borden이 강한 영향을 받은 밴드로는 Iron Maiden, Judas Priest 등의 정통 Heavy Metal이지만, 동시에 Alice Cooper, Kiss의 글램 록의 탕아적인 기질도 드러나 있다. 파워 메탈과 글램 메탈이라는 이질적인 요소의 결합이라는 다소 석연치 않은 조합이기는 하지만 그래도 밴드의 데뷔 앨범은 상당한 퀄리티의 작품이다. 파워 메탈의 힘이 넘치는 성향과 글램 메탈의 가벼움은 적절하게 조화를 이루고 있다. 당시 신인 밴드로서는 믿을 수 없을 만큼 매끄러운 솜씨다. 어느 한편에도 쏠리지도 않고 앨범은 첫 곡 Council for the Cauldron부터 마지막 Rod of Iron까지 아슬아슬한 균형은 죽 이어지고 있다. Lizzy Borden의 Love You to Pieces는 이도저도 아닌 작품이라기 보다는 두 마리 토끼 모두를 잡은 수작이라 할 수 있겠다.

debutové album "Love You to Pieces" kombinuje prevažne Heavy Metal s občasnými prvkami Power -u. Predošlé EP sa mi páčilo o niečo viac (bolo akoby o niečo tvrdšie), ale aj táto vecička je plná kvalitnej hudby.

커리어 내내 많은 음악적 변화를 했던 밴드인데 본 데뷔작에서는 NWOBHM에 가까운 사운드를 들려줌. 개인적으로는 이들의 앨범 중 가장 좋아함.

80년대 헤비메탈과 글램메탈의 매력을 동시에 갖추어 개인적인 취향을 두들겨 맞았다. 즐겨듣는 2,3,6번 트렉을 비롯하여 80년대 미국메탈 특유의 분위기를 만끽시켜준다.
