I'm just not a fan of djent. Their debut still had some decent riffing. This is monotonous and boring.

Wow. I never would've guessed this early album would remind me so much of Pantera. I wonder if this was an influence on Static-X... Anyway, it's good heavy adrenaline-filled music even though their signature style is not fully there yet.

Das Album enthält eigentlich schon alle Stärken von Meshuggah kann aber mit späteren Veröffentlichichungen nicht mithalten. Vor allem der Gesang gefällt mir später deutlich besser.

기타 프레이즈나 드러밍에서 메슈가 앨범중 Fusion 성향이 가장 많이 드러나는 앨범. 전작의 스래쉬 스타일도 남아있긴 한데 전반적으로 환골탈태 한듯이 본인들 스타일을 정립했다. 시대를 많이 앞서간 앨범

Early day Meshuggah did more like convoluted Thrash Metal. This means their musical journey was just sprouting and showing its green leaves. Which soon went all yellow.
