전반적으로 매우 뛰어난 라이브 앨범이다. Nightwish라는 밴드 특성상 보컬이 다른 Melodic Power Metal 밴드들보다 부각되는 측면이 있는데, From Wishes to Eternity에서는 다른 연주자들과 Tarja Turunen의 소프라노가 정규앨범보다 훨씬 조화를 이루고 있다. 특히 밴드 리더이자 키보드를 담당하고 있는 Tuomas Holopainen의 역량이 부각되고 있다. 작곡에 있어서 그가 Nightwish에서 가장 중요한 역할을 수행한다는 사실은 알고 있었지만, 사실 정규앨범에서는 Tarja에게 상당한 공을 양보해야만 했다. 그러나 라이브에서는 정규 앨범에서보다 다른 멤버들과 함께 안정감있는 연주를 들려주고 있다. 그러나 앨범 선곡부분에 있어서는 살짝 아쉽다. Wishmaster 앨범투어인 만큼 그 앨범의 곡들이 중심을 이루는 것은 당연하지만, 앨범 자체만을 가지고 따졌을 때 이 앨범은 전작인 Oceanborn에 미치지 못한다. Oceanborn에 실린 곡은 이 앨범에서 딱 세 곡밖에 없다. Stargazers, Moondance, Passion And The Opera 같은 뛰어난 곡들이 빠진 사실은 다소 아쉽다. 그래도 Nightwish라는 밴드의 역량을 확인할 수 있다는 사실만으로도 이 라이브는 가치는 차고 넘친다.

끝장나는 Nightwish의 라이브 실력을 엿볼 수 있는 From Wishes To Eternity 앨범으로, DVD에서 음원을 추출하여 CD로 발매한 것이다. 본래 핀란드에서 10,000장 한정으로 나온 앨범이지만 정규작으로 봐도 무방할 정도의 지명도와 탄탄한 완성도를 지니고 있다. Wishmaster 앨범의 곡들이 주류를 이루고 있는데, 스튜디오앨범과 비교해 조금도 흐트러지지 않는 멤버들의 실력에 감탄사가 절로 나온다. DVD에는 별도의 인터뷰, 프로모 비디오, 라이브 비디오등이 수록되어 있어 토탈 러닝타임이 150분에 이른다.
