노르웨이안 Black Metal 밴드 Taake의 정규 데뷔 앨범. 밴드 결성은 93년에 했지만 6년이 지난 시점에서야 Taake는 정규 앨범을 발표하게 된 셈인데, 오랜 준비 기간을 거쳐서 그런지 데뷔 앨범임에도 풋풋한 냄새따위는 풍기지 않고 있다. 갓 앨범을 발표하는 신인 밴드의 작품치고는 능란한 솜씨가 엿보인다. Taake의 데뷔 앨범 Nattestid Ser Porten Vid는 올드스쿨 블랙 메탈의 양식을 기반으로 하고 있다. 그러나 밴드는 Mayhem이나 초기 Darkthrone 같은 순수 블랙 메탈을 지향하고 있지는 않다. Nattestid Ser Porten Vid에서는 정통 블랙 메탈 위에서 Dark Funeral 식의 페스트한 전개도 보이며, 특이하게도 Viking Metal적인 요소도 충분히 느낄 수 있을 정도로 여러요소가 혼재되어 있다. 곡들은 전반적으로 빠른 템포와 느린 템포가 적절히 섞여 있으며 사이사이에 유려한 멜로디 라인이 숨어있다. 청취난이도는 크게 높지 않아 블랙 메탈에 익숙한 리스너라면 충분히 즐길 수 있을 것이라 생각된다.
