Listening to this album for the first time as a newer age metalcore fan feels like looking at the baby pictures of your best friend. This album was the perfect stepping stone the entire genre. Its huge layered riffs mixed with amazing singing and aggressive screams were such an influential part of metal history because it gave way for more amazing albums in its wake. 1 sound I hear potently is that of The Poison from Bullet For My Valentine. An insanely good album, both for the time and today. Holds its own against some other top metalcore albums of all time.

The core album that I've listened to so many times. A proper breakdown or rhythm. The riff is really great. It's not easy to pull out a song like this. I'm leaving a comment because I'm sad that I can't see this lineup anymore after their latest album, "shaped by fire."

탄탄한 연주력에 번뜩이는 센스가 빛을 발함 메탈코어의 매력을 느낄 수 있는 쾌작 the darkest night 가 역시 킬링 트랙!!

이 밴드 고등학생때 처음 들었는데 지금까지 멜로디 기억나는 곡은 본작의 4번트랙 단 한곡 뿐입니다. 일단 메탈코어가 그렇게 잘 맞지않았던 탓도 있고, 4번트랙의 멜로디의 중독성이 출중한 덕도 있습니다. 리프는 제대로 박살나는데 귀가 피로해지는 보컬의 일관된 보이스가 아쉽습니다. 개인적으로, 대부분의 메탈코에서 느껴지는 같은 단점을 공유하는 작품.

딱 듣기 좋은 멜로디 질주감 리듬감...전형적인 메탈코어!!내가 한때 좋아하던 킬스위치 인게이지풍??ㅋ

o niečo lepšie, ako predošlé albumy, podarený obal, ale naďalej mi tento typ metalcoru veľmi nesedí
