Once Bitten...앨범에 이은 작품 ...Twice shy 전작과 동일선상에 있는 음악들로 느릿느릿한 하드락 음악이 포진되어 있는데 첫인상에 대한 거부감 때문인지 이들 음반을 들을때는 그닥 흥겹게 즐긴다는 생각을 아직 못하겠다. 아무래도 이당시 쌍팔년도의 글렘메탈은 직설적이고 듣기 쉬웠으면 하는 기대감 때문인지 약간은 난해한듯한 이들의 음악이 나에게는 안맞는것처럼 느껴진다. 그래도 이번작품을 듣다보니 Heart the Hunter 에서 기타 솔로잉을 들으며 우와 얘네 연주력이 굉장한데? 라고 생각하면서 놀라기도 하였다.
연주력등 기본기를 잘 갖추고 있는 상태에서 각 곡들에서 겸손하고 정교하게 음악을 만들어낸것이 느껴지기도 하는데 특히 블루스하기도하고 헤비하기도 하고 익살스럽기도 한 기타사운드가 매력적이었다.
나름 인지도 있는 밴드인데 아직은 그저 개인적으로 나에게 와닿지 않는것 같다. 아마도 언젠간 이들에 대해 선입견도 제거되고 귀가 뚤리며 이들의 멋진 once... ... twice 두 음반을 즐길수 있을날이 올거라고 믿는다.

My most played album #999. The fourth album. Double Platinum! Contains the biggest hits of their career, a cover of Ian Hunter's "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" made it to #5. "The Angel Song", which reached # 30 on the Billboard Hot 100. "House of Broken Love" made it to #7 on Mainstream Rock. "Mista Bone" made it to #27 on Mainstream Rock. "Heart the Hunter" made it to #91 UK Singles Chart. I also like "Move It" and "Baby's on Fire". In other words loaded with great songs!

안정감 있는 연주에 녹아든 아메리칸 감성 하드록 부담없이 즐길수 있는 신나는 트랙과 절절하고 무드 있는 발라드 트랙이 골고루 삽입되어 있다 highway nights, once bitten twice shy가 특히 좋았다
