메이헴 1990년 전설(유로니무스, 데드, 헬해머, 네크로부처라는 전설의 라인업으로 진행된 라이브였고, 당대에는 아니었더라도 현재 메이헴이라는 밴드의 전설적 위상을 고려한다면 전설이라는 표현을 써야 마땅하다고 생각)의 4대 라이브들 중 두 번째인 Live in Sarpsborg는 1990년 2월 28일 Sarpsborg에 있는 Furuheim이라는 라이브 홀에서 순탄히 진행되었다. 특이한 점은 공연 포스터를 보면 Slayer Magazine을 위한 콘서트, 즉 Slayer Aid였다는 것이다.
이는 유로니무스의 베프 중 하나이자 8,90년대 노르웨이 언더그라운드 메탈 씬을 개척하는 데 큰 기여를 하였던 Metalion의 메탈 fanzine인 Slayer Magazine이 잡지 발행에 있어 금전문제를 겪고 있을 때, 이를 위한 후원 모금성 공연으로 기획해 여러 동료들의 도움을 받아 준비했던 콘서트였다. 이를 위해 메탈리온의 메탈 동료들이 시설의 대관이나 음향 등을 아주 싼 값에 도맡는 등 도움을 주었다고 한다. 공연 수익의 대부분 또한 Slayer Magazine으로 돌아갔다. 라인업도 감동적인데, Equinox, Cadaver 등 당시 잘나가던 동료밴드들이 무보수로 공연을 하겠다고 나섰다. 주최자 메탈리온을 둘러싼 아름다운 협동 공연인 셈이었다.

If you would want to compare this release with other live ones, this has almost nothing new to offer. The sound is horrendous, there's too much of a mess for much of an atmosphere, and it really just sucks. The endless release of bootlegs with terrible quality is only important in filling the publishers' wallets and not in presenting quality and valuable music. Do you need a fifth album of Dead "singing" the same songs?

The Dawn Of The Black Hearts의 내용이 바로 이 Sarpsborg에서 열린 라이브이기에 별달리 코멘트 할 것은 없다. 90년도의 라이브를 두고 '메이헴은 음질에 신경을 안 쓰는 밴드'라고 말하는데 이는 완벽한 몰이해에서 비롯된 것이다. 애당초 90년도의 라이브는 조악하기 그지없는 개인 캠코더로 녹화되었으며 그 녹화테잎에서 추출한 음원이기에 거칠 수 밖에 없는 것이다.
