그분께 감사의 말씀을 올리며, Purtenance 의 노래가 나왔을때 번쩍였던 그때의 전율을^^ 오래전 한번 듣고 무심코 지나쳤던 순간이 얼마나 후회 스러웠는지를, 이 밴드는 데쓰메틀의 접근법을 새로이 한 밴드로 평가하고 싶습니다. 사실 공격적이고 빠른 리프의 데쓰메틀 밴드들의 사운드는 그저 달리기만 했고, 그전에 Obituary 처럼 사자 그로울링? 과 NOCTURNUS의미래 지향적? 밴드가 데쓰메틀의 날개를 달게 해줬다면 이 밴드는 그 날개에 조금 더 다양한 재료를 넣은 격 이라고 보여집니다. 공격적이고 난해하면서 때론 둔탁한 드럼 과 조악한 음질의 트윈기타파트 가 상당히 유연적인 면이 돋보이는것 같습니다.

prvé a zároveň aj posledné album "Member of Immortal Damnation" od fínskej kapely Purtenance ma nevýhodu v celkom nevyrovnanom zvuku. Po hudobnej stránke ponúkajú starú školu európskeho Death Metal c-u, ktorý je však miestami dosť monotónny.

당시의 핀란드의 데스메탈하면 떠올릴 서사적 특징을 고스란히 담고 있다. 둠적인 파트 활용으로 극적인 분위기의 변화와 트레몰로 리프에 수시로 변하는 드럼과의 조화가 일품.

지하 납골당같은 축축하고 음산한 곳에서 스멀스멀 피어올라오는듯한 기분나쁜 사운드이다. 느릴 땐 느릿느릿하게 조져주고 빠를 때도 충분히 조져주는, 올드스쿨을 만족스럽게 즐길 수 있는 매니악한 명작이다.

여타 핀란드 데스랑은 다르게 순수하게 죽음의 본질에 근접하는 데스메탈 사운드를 구현한 덕에 시종일관 무덤속에 묻혀 있는 듯한 느낌을 강하게 받는다. 그에 걸맞게 지하적인 육중함도 상당하다.
