1984년의 데뷔앨범 Fistful Of Metal 이후 초기 창단멤버가 모두 탈퇴하는 등 잦은 멤버교체로 몸살을 앓았던 Anthrax의 두 번째 앨범 Spreading The Disease이다. 남은 멤버인 드러머 Charlie Benante, 기타리스트 Dan Spitz는 보컬에 Joe Belladonna, 베이스에 Frank Bello를 새로 영입하여 본작을 발표하였다. 점점 이들 특유의 유머러스한 스래쉬메틀이 자리잡아가고 있는데, 본작으로 세계적인 명성을 획득해가기 시작하였으며 Among The Living 앨범으로 말미암아 정상의 위치에 오르게 된다.

곡배치를 참 잘했다고 생각하는 앨범이다. 1번부터 9번까지.
