전작인 Vertikal에 결코 꿀리지 않는 작업물을 들고 돌아왔다. 신디사이저를 이용한 사운드스케이핑이 상당한 비중을 차지했던 전작에 비해, 이번에는 고전적인 밴드 사운드에 슬럿지 메탈의 톤을 앞세웠다. 여러모로 2010년대 후반의 서구권 포스트락에 가까운 음악을 선보이고 있는데, 이번에도 강렬한 하쉬 보컬에 미들템포로 일관하여 악곡이 담백하다. 타이틀 곡으로 뽑힌 3번트랙부터 5번트랙까지는 앨범의 중반부를 완벽하게 장악하고 있는데, 퓨너럴 둠의 박자보다는 어느정도 그루브가 있는 리듬을 배치하여 긴 러닝타임에 청자가 지치지 않게 만들었다. 또한 하나의 트랙이 갖추는 구성이 그리 복잡하지 않고, 곡 내부에서 키보디스트가 앞으로 나서지 않은 채 탄탄하게 뒤를 받쳐주고 있다. We Feel the End에서 클린보컬을 감싸는 밴드 사운드는 비록 가벼운 톤에 메이저 코드를 다소 삽입하여 청자가 이 장르에 기대하는 감성을 깨는 것 같지만, 여느 둠 메탈 밴드가 선사하는 어두운 분위기에 못지않은 우울함과 몽환을 제공한다. 이미 Post-Metal씬에서는 연륜을 자랑하는 밴드이지만, 이제는 Eternal Kingdom 이전의 악곡으로부터 한층 진화하여 완전하게 독보적인 영역을 구축했다는 것을 여실히 드러내는 앨범이다.

despite several listens, album did not impress me at all. Although it sometimes contains some interesting moments

Extreme levels of feeling were put into this album. It was a perfect match for my rainy stressful day. We Feel the End was not as good as the rest by my ears. The rest was pure fire, and this is a great album.

A Dawn to Fear album is very normal frankly I didn't enjoy it and it was a bit boring

aktuálne album kombinuje prevažne Sludge Metal s Post-Metal -om a atmosférickými prvkami. Zvuk je skôr taký zastretý, monotónny s dôrazom na činely a prechody bicích. Gitary sú tiež v pozadí, skôr počuť vyhrávky. Aj po viacerých vypočutiach ma to veľmi neoslovuje. Hlasový prejav - rev mi k hudbe vôbec nepasuje, je jednotvárny a nepáči sa mi.

동종 다른 밴드들보다도 묵직하고 둠적인 템포, 초창기의 거친 면은 많이 사라졌지만 Somewhere Along The Highway에서 완성된 Cult of Luna만의 스타일, 포스트록에서 보여지는 드라마틱함, Vertikal에서 보여주었던 공허하고 장황한 사운드 스케이프를 적절히 조합하여 앳모스페릭 슬럿지 메탈이 무엇인가를 제대로 보여주는 앨범이다.
