Sodom의 데모앨범인 1982,1984년 두 데모 앨범의 컴필레이션.
이 데모 컴필 앨범의 음질을 극복하면 웬만한 저음질의 음악들은 고퀄의 마스터링으로 들리는 효과가 있음을 체험했고...
또한 1984년 데모인 "Victims of Death" 앨범은 이후에 풀렝스로 발매할만한데...팬들의 큰 아쉬움을 알았는지
얼마 안있어 (약40년 뒤인 2022 년에) 수록곡 3곡을 리레코딩하여 보너스 CD 로 발매함으로써..
그나마 작은 소원성취가 되었다. (11번트랙 Satan's Conjuration 은 2집에 Conjuration 으로 수록됨)
대표적인 수록곡인 Witching Metal 은 "In the Sign of Evil" Ep에 수록된 것과는 리프와 멜로디에 차이가 있는 첫번째 버전으로
초기 블랙/스피드 메탈 의 진수를 맛볼수 있는 상당히 매력적인 트랙.
Victims of Death 또한 그러하다.
사골이어도 상관없으니 이 데모앨범의 리레코딩을 간절히 바라며..짧은 글을 남깁니다.

말 그대로 사료의 가치가 강하다. 다만 이 사료의 가치를 절대 간과해서는 안 될 것이 Venom의 Black Metal이 1982년도에 나왔다. 그리고 저 첫 데모인 Witching Metal도 1982년도에 나왔다. 즉, 블랙메탈에 있어서 '최초'의 사운드를 이야기 할 때 나는 Venom 만큼이나 이 소돔의 데모도 입에 오를만 하다고 생각한다. 뒤늦게 들어본 지금, 분명 그럴만한 가치가 있다고 본다.
