OK, that last 19-minute track is all piano and rainfall and stuff, so just bare that in mind if you don't want to hear something like that. One of the best of 2022 so far. It's super atmospheric, also super heavy. The drums are pretty amazing. Somebody on the YouTube album stream comments is claiming to be the session drummer for this album. I find the medieval parts aren't played with enough bounciness. The metal parts are good, but there aren't many of them. I'd much rather listen to one of his straight up metal albums, or once in a while one of his purely symphonic ones.   Apr 9, 2022

This album kept me in good spirits through a tough day. Funny how that worked, cuz it's full of despair. Actually, a good amount of it sounds like Severoth, which is one of my favorite artists ever so I can't blame Déhà. There's great atmospheric black metal on this, and some post-black metal too, but not that much, so it stays super heavy. Also, there's whistling. I don't even know what these feelings are that I got from listening to this. After listening for an hour and 10 minutes, it's like I was on a hundred-year adventure. This is a thoroughly good atmospheric black metal album with varying degrees of melancholic and post metal blended in. This has some of his best black metal ever. The 2nd half is mostly country and folk. I don't love the 2nd half, but at least it's a style of country I can get behind. Maybe kind of like Tom Waits, but doesn't have his intensity and liveliness. 훌륭한 데뷰. 1집을 꼭 사야 할까라는 생각으로 살다가 이제야 얻어걸린 느낌으로 사게 되었다. 물론 1집을 필수라고 여기지 않았지만 후회도 없다. 보컬이 멤버들보다 나이가 10여살 많은 걸로 기억하고 게디리의 좀 더 듣기 좋은 버전이라고 생각이 든다. 다만 믹싱이 마음에 들지 않아서 살짝 밋밋하다. 보컬과 드럼이 살짝 뒤로 간 느낌.리믹스가 절실하나 과연?   Nov 7, 2024
