Cosmicism 85/100
Kinda deathcore too, and that element brings a very rich heaviness with none of the cringe and phoniness that deathcore and metalcore are often cursed with. If you are interested in those genres and/or mathcore, I highly recommend this. Mar 10, 2024

Zany scrambled insanity as those genre's promise. It's good music, but those track titles are just pure gold. Mar 10, 2024

Extremely solid all the way through, and the seething passion and adrenaline are gloriously apparent. Mar 10, 2024

Similar to Rage Against the Machine as I expected, but without the phenomenal rhythmic quality. The choruses here are mostly so plain Jane. It's okay to try once, but I can't say this music is good. Mar 10, 2024

That last track was the high point for me. I really loved it. I wish the singer would just get a little more playful. Still good all around. Mar 5, 2024

This is a sadistically painful experience, but it's also fun to a certain degree. That's not to say it's inaccessible; this is percussive drone metal, and it's pretty gratifying as well. Mar 5, 2024

It's uncanny how good this album is, considering how young the band was. Epic all the way through. Mar 5, 2024

Some doom on here, but whether it's at a doom moment or a death metal moment these songs are all impressive & exciting. Great work. Mar 5, 2024

Really soaring doom & heavy metal melodies. Out of all the mistakes that can show up on an album, Lucifer has made none here. That fact makes the songs extremely replayable even though I won't rank it at the highest level. Also, it's better to skip the alternate versions of tracks 2 and 6; no need to hear them more often than the other tracks. Mar 5, 2024

Catching up on recent war metal / blackdeath has been a very rewarding experience. There are some sinister vibes and gloom here, but mostly it's an overbearing frenzy of pummeling. I'm not always in the mood for that but, for some reason, today I was in the mood so I was able to hear how great this recording is. Mar 2, 2024

2021 was an amazing year for atmospheric black metal, and this masterpiece could have topped the genre on some other years. It's an improvement on his 2020 debut. The ambient interludes are better, the melodies & transitions are even more astounding, and that guitar sound is perfect. Nature worship with melancholy but it's full of energy and danger as well. This album has everything. Mar 2, 2024

Amazing for his first full-length album. Tons of inspiration are apparent here. Mar 2, 2024
Cosmicism 70/100
The vocals are mediocre & phony. The songwriting is not interesting and obscenely commercial. There are a few gothic moments, but they are outnumbered by momrock. Disappointing for me. Mar 2, 2024

Good funeral doom by Déhà's dedicated funeral doom project. Mar 1, 2024

A good album. Besides black metal & death metal, there a few heavy-metal style solos. Mar 1, 2024

Vigorous and truthfully great songs. The Hanged Man was noticeably better, but that honey of an album cover had me expecting a million times better. Silly me. Mar 1, 2024
Cosmicism 90/100
Everything is excellent on this powerful album. Sometimes field recordings and ambience just match the theme very vaguely, but here the sounds bring you to very specific times & spaces that are grimy, hopeless, & dangerous. Yes it's also viscerally gratifying war metal, but this is an intelligent & thought-provoking work as well. First time hearing this artist, and I already have a lot of respect for him. Mar 1, 2024
Cosmicism 75/100
Some very good atmospheric BM parts, and some very good post-metal parts. This should be an 80/100 album at least, but it takes too long to get to the point. Field recordings and ambience can only last so long. Mar 1, 2024

A bit better than Inner Emigration. After listening to some insanely stuff a couple of days ago, this was the perfect chill out. Mar 1, 2024

I tried some porngrind to find out what it is like. This one in particular was fun and full of energy. I particularly liked how it references pop culture. Mar 1, 2024

I really enjoyed the bounciness, the occasional segments of old school death metal, and the audio clips. The main negative for me is that the composition feels a bit empty, as if the other instruments expect the vocals to fill some space and make the songs feel complete, but those vocals just rumble without accomplishing much. The end result feels like background music for a movie or video game that is designed for other audio to be the main focus. Mar 1, 2024
Cosmicism 85/100
Very good music. I find the 2nd track a little less enjoyable than the other two. They produced a cool series of illustrations for this album. Mar 1, 2024

Very well-played and passionate black metal. Mar 1, 2024
Cosmicism 90/100
Better than their 2019 album. The guitar sound here is just so perfect; they must be fully satisfied with the recording. The songs are all good, but that last track is a death crust epic. Definitely becoming a fan of Agnosy. Also, that cover art, in addition to being well executed, is exactly what we metal fans want to see, so double thank you for that one. Feb 28, 2024

More variety in the beats & rhythms would be an improvement, but this album is as invigorating as all hell. Feb 28, 2024

A solid good time with no weak parts. Surprise of the day: there is some deathcore on this album. Respect to Dwarrowdelf for taking Tolkienesque to different places and bringing us more variety. Feb 28, 2024
Cosmicism 100/100
I listen to a lot of music, but this album stands out as one to keep playing regularly. First 10/10 for me for 2024. The best vocalist from the last album is on all the tracks. It's also clear that Ammanas was determined to come up with compositions that are even better than his previous work, and that determination pays off with 36 minutes of nonstop emotional power. Pretty good depressive BM, but the flow of the songs feels a bit awkward at times. Good if you want depressive nocturnes. Feb 28, 2024

Nov 4, 2024

Their most representative album of the eighties, full of innovation and class, with forceful themes and a benchmark in style for the hard rock genre, in fact it is their best-selling work to date! My personal precise rating is (94/100) Faves: Criyng In The Rain and Don´t Turn Away! Oct 30, 2024

완벽하다. 지금와서 painkiller 정도의 힘을 기대하는 것은 무리지만 관록과 경험으로 영그러진 놀라운 앨범을 냈다. 엔지니어링도 크게 한몫했다. Oct 31, 2024
