OK, passable black metal. This is unreleased stuff from 2020, and I guess they're focusing on their other project now. The great title, logo, and cover art had my hopes up.... oh well; It's OK. Feb 12, 2024

Wow. This album goes everywhere. Yes it's black metal, but also folk metal, big band, classical, a somewhat hip-hop industrial track, classical, thrash, and field recordings including an old-fashioned newsreel segment. All done well with tons of passion. Feb 12, 2024

Very satisfying slam here. The guest musicians are also from the very big groups of the genre. Very well done - almost going to move the score up to 90. Feb 12, 2024

If you want some deathcore themed after Darksouls, then you might want to give this a try. It's not very good though - a lot like Lorn Shore, but I don't feel the intense emotions and extravagance that Lorna Shore provides. Feb 12, 2024

I actually got so into the instruments that I didn't quite notice the vocals for a while. The vocals are too croaky, and they drag down my enjoyment a little. Still good though. Feb 12, 2024

Good atmospheric BM in here. It does focus more on the death doom which, I think, leans toward Swallow the Sun stylewise. There are some sophomoric lyrics in here. I get into the music but not too intensely. A good place to start for a rather new band. Feb 4, 2024

Ooph! I didn't expect this to be even better than the 2024 EP. Definitely an And-Justice-for-All sound to these awesome songs, and the mix of death growls and clean vocals is done extremely well. I'm close to moving this one up to 90/100. The highlight of my Friday here. Very easy to recommend this one to anyone reading this comment. Feb 4, 2024

Track 3 is a great example of a new artist following Lustre's example to great effect. The 2nd track was a nice foreshadowing of the style Nebula Orionis would develop in later releases, I can now recognize. Somewhat still a beginner, but this is a nice EP. Feb 4, 2024

The idiotic controversy over CJ's firing drags down any respect I could have for both him and the other band members. Whoever I'm listening to, the vocals on this album are annoying and I just want them to stop. Some eerie playing combined with heaviness works well a couple of times, but I was watching the clock, hoping for this album to end. Not terrible, but bad. Feb 4, 2024

All right, back to instrumental for Ethir Anduin. As it just so happens, this maybe beats Loneliness of my Life - if not, it's at least equal to it. I think I'm hearing some Swallow the Sun influence in these melodies. Great hour-and-a-half release here. Those minutes flew right by. Feb 2, 2024

Good early album by Ethir Anduin. Feb 2, 2024

Tight execution on dramatic song structures. These guys must be real masters. This concise & brutal death thrash album really kills that pomegranate. So, yeah, they're worthy of that band name. Feb 2, 2024

This weird & challenging album is not for everyone, but there is a lot of impressive instrumentation as well as some humor in the mix. Feb 2, 2024

Here's my pick of the day. It's also another band for me to catch up on. I find the doom elements somewhat on the sludge side, which is fine with me. There's also some industrial metal and some electronica. Anyway, 'Despair' is a great word for these powerful songs; the emotional distress is palpable & believable. Highly recommended. Feb 2, 2024

The clean vocals just drone on, more like talking than singing, and that's the only thing that drags down the quality significantly on this album. The screaming is good, the lyrics are a mix of good & bad, & the rolling nu metal guitarwork is done exactly right. To be honest, I really hope they did some albums without those annoying droning vocals. Jan 31, 2024

The last song is kinda okay, but this album does not work. The clean vocals are straight bad, the harsh vocals are just a tiny bit better, and a lot of the songs end without accomplishing much. The breakdowns are not heavy or exciting; they're just the slow parts in mid-tempo songs. They do have some nice syncopation, and that's probably the only good thing going on here. Jan 31, 2024

Eventually it gets to the point, which is good, but it wastes wwwwaaayyyy too much time. Jan 31, 2024

It's some kind of magic. That 2nd song was going deeper & deeper into its hypnotic groove. Then all of a sudden I felt like I was about to cry. I don't know what part of the song or what instrument made me feel anything, but my whole torso relaxed and I became more still. If you're still saying, 'whatever, Cosmicism,' just remember that Farvann likes it too. Jan 31, 2024

I feel like I had a good introduction to this band with this EP. I look forward to hearing their more recent work. Jan 31, 2024

These musicians do the perfect job at distracting me with all that heaviness and brutality. Then it feels like a discovery when I actually notice how much musicality and how many ideas there are swimming in that sea of metal. Great work. Jan 31, 2024

I like his other projects, so I'm not surprised I liked this. The first 3 tracks are good, and tracks 4 & 5 had me reeling with the sensation of maniacal nighttime raving that this music embodies. Jan 31, 2024

Very good speed metal. There's a bit of thrash in here too. The higher notes sound a bit distant to me. Anyway, I had a great time. Jan 31, 2024

All 3 words in the band name start with K, so I'm highly suspicious there is some garbage-tier prejudice behind this project. However, what I hear is quite good black metal with other genres of music woven in gorgeously. Jan 29, 2024

The 1st release from a great side-project by a member of Falls of Rauros. Rhûn is also a Tolkienesque name. Anyway, I really loved each song from this one, and I'm starting to think the last track is my favorite. Jan 29, 2024

Nov 4, 2024

Their most representative album of the eighties, full of innovation and class, with forceful themes and a benchmark in style for the hard rock genre, in fact it is their best-selling work to date! My personal precise rating is (94/100) Faves: Criyng In The Rain and Don´t Turn Away! Oct 30, 2024

완벽하다. 지금와서 painkiller 정도의 힘을 기대하는 것은 무리지만 관록과 경험으로 영그러진 놀라운 앨범을 냈다. 엔지니어링도 크게 한몫했다. Oct 31, 2024
