A 5-year-old album, but I'll make it my pick of the day. Guitarwork paradise & drumming paradise simultaneously. The cadences and rapid drum licks really echo in my head for days when I listen to this one. Massive respect to Polyphia. Aug 1, 2023

I enjoyed the whole EP, just not to an extreme degree. Sure I'll give it a listen now and then, but not as often as their 2022 album Fourth Reign over Opacities and Beyond, which really makes a big impact. Aug 1, 2023

Playful and intricate as can be. This music fills me with good moods. Jul 30, 2023

Masterful control of mood, and just like that album cover the music earns an A+ in taste. These are the ACOD members with a new project. I'm extremely thankful for this one, which is top-tier walking music. Jul 30, 2023

Various levels of quality throughout, so it's not very solid, but even the weaker parts are still all right. Also, even the weaker tracks all have some enjoyable moments. In the end, it's an energetic album that I prefer over In Flames 2023 album when I'm looking for a mix of melodious alternative metal and extreme metal. Fence, in particular, is dynamite. Beautiful soothing ambient music mixed well into this black metal. Mostly ethereal vocals dominate, but some truly brutal harsh vocals come in at just the right time so the songs all make a strong impact on me. Nice job by Natura Aeternum. Jul 29, 2023

War Metal with an atmosphere that deserves that cover? What a brilliant idea. I'm kind of ignorant about grindcore, but everything on this album is either good or truly great. Highly recommended. Jul 29, 2023

Almost as good as River Runs Red. I was surprised to discover so much influence from Type O Negative, and that it worked so well when it shows up on this album. At a lot of moments, the singing astounded me, to tell the truth - so much genuine emotion, kind of confessional. Respect to this band for putting in so much effort into this one. You can really hear it. Jul 29, 2023

Oh I was in pure bliss with this very punky blackened speed metal. The cover art just makes me say, 'huh?' but the music inside is pure gold. Also, I don't care if people want to call the vocals harsh or not, but it's a great approach to singing either way. Jul 29, 2023

Totally passionate performance here in Midnight's signature style. The album cover is also worth a look - only if you're old enough, OK? Jul 29, 2023

I think i like their 2023 album slightly better, but this one is also in super good taste. Yes I'm the Mountain deserves all the attention it got back in the 2010s. Very good album from a very good band. Jul 29, 2023

A+ for album title, A+ for voiceovers & field recordings, and A+ for all the music. You can hear the enthusiasm for what they were playing on each song, which is extra remarkable because it shifts from doom, to heavy metal, to punk. Call me crazy, but only if you still want to after listening first. Jul 29, 2023

The songwriting is very good, and the harsh vocals are some of the best harsh vocals in recent months. The pure evil in that voice kept me enthralled for 53 minutes. Quite a gem here. Jul 29, 2023

First of all, go check the meaning of the band name. Second of all, this album is beautiful. Jul 29, 2023

I love how the band members are all in the photo on the album cover, working harmoniously together as a team. The music on the album is so beautifully disgusting and full of gurgling. Score of 95 but a 100% guarantee you'll have fun. Jul 29, 2023

They have a long and quite dependable discography, and this early one didn't disappoint, even though it's far from my favorite. Too many songs on this album end with a boring fade-out. If that wasn't true I might have considered a higher score. Jul 29, 2023

What an interesting band; energetic heavy metal with new wave vocals. Not my favorite heavy metal of this week, but I have to say, 'Everyone needs to hear this band,' and that's a compliment they fully deserve. Jul 29, 2023

Listening to this album was a bizarre experience. Almost half of the songs are exhilarating, written from a genuine place, and just so cool. The other songs are tepid; they're more like rock and it feels like the band created them out of obligation. Equal Rights, Equal Lefts brought a huge smile to my face. Despite the mixed review, my respect for the vocalist has only increased. Jul 29, 2023

It sounds like physically taxing instrumentation. Definitely good, but they found a way to make their music tons more powerful with their next album. Jul 29, 2023
Cosmicism 55/100
The way these guys play these melodies, it sounds like they're bored, apathetic, & drooling. It's like most musicians would play the same melodies in a way that makes it actually have some emotion. The message of the album is complete degeneracy. Well, now I know what I think about this band. Jul 23, 2023

An astoundingly bad album despite some very good segments here & there. This album jumps around annoyingly from genre to genre and the songs don't hold together at all. There are lots of metalcore breakdowns that are all extremely boring. Also, most songs are weighed down by theatrics, and the sense of humor on the album is totally unfunny. What a complete mess. A folky atmospheric BM EP about a murderous historical figure. The end result is good, but not as amazing as some other Wraithlord material. Jul 23, 2023
Cosmicism 90/100
Thrashier than I expected and a strong start for a truly great band. The concept of the album cover is wonderful, but I wish it was executed a little better. Anyway, great tech death and thrash here. Jul 23, 2023

I'm glad I gave them a 2nd chance, because this is quite enjoyable. A solid 40 minutes. Jul 23, 2023

Nov 4, 2024

Their most representative album of the eighties, full of innovation and class, with forceful themes and a benchmark in style for the hard rock genre, in fact it is their best-selling work to date! My personal precise rating is (94/100) Faves: Criyng In The Rain and Don´t Turn Away! Oct 30, 2024

완벽하다. 지금와서 painkiller 정도의 힘을 기대하는 것은 무리지만 관록과 경험으로 영그러진 놀라운 앨범을 냈다. 엔지니어링도 크게 한몫했다. Oct 31, 2024
