A lot of the songs on this sound mixed up, too busy, and awkward, and some of them lack passion. It's too bad because I can hear it's the same old pro musicians playing these half-baked songs. Instrumentally these guys are very proficient and it sounds like it takes lots of stamina to play these songs. For me the vocals come too frequently and close together and detract from the composition. Maybe that's just me. The artist was smart to make the theme of arson with field recordings between songs. It makes this album memorable despite the hundreds of albums of similar style and quality. With a lame album cover, these guys released some of their best music here, which took me by surprise. Also surprising was how heavy and angry this album is. It vents with the power of a thousand propellers. No break, just energy all the way through, and Lajon is totally on fire. Nu metal has it's downsides, but Sevendust should get more attention, and then nu metal will seem like a much better style.   Sep 2, 2022

A nice mix of progressive, black metal, and metal core, even if the third one is by habit. It's funny that some news claims it's a full black metal album. Rōnin stands out as the masterpiece of this album for me, with Heafy's singing blazing into my heart and it's cool that Ihsahn helps out. Ibaraki-Dōji comes in second. 85-90, 예전에 빽판으로 즐기던 음반. 운이 좋게 다시 시디로 구입하게 들어보게 되었다. 지금 이 시점에서는 좋게 들렸고 시원시원했다. 녹음은 거칠긴 하나 가끔 너무 갑갑한 믹싱이 되어 있는 메탈음반이 많은데 차라리 이런 식으로 만드는게 낫다 싶다. 1,2집도 언제인가는 구해지지 않을까 생각해본다.   Oct 30, 2024

어쿠스틱 기타, 첼로, 플루트 등을 이용하여 녹음한 어쿠스틱 사운드의 작품이다. 그러나 표현하고자 하는 사운드의 방향성 자체는 무겁고 진지하다. 멜로디가 약간 서늘한 냉기를 품고 있다. 더운 여름에 들으면 시원함을 느낄 수도 있지만 대체로 가을의 분위기에 잘 어울린다. 커버아트와 음악의 매칭이 절묘하다.   Nov 4, 2024

90-95. 이 시기의 블가 앨범들은 다 좋은 듯. hansi의 보컬을 더 느끼고 싶어서 사모으기 시작한 앨범인데 그렇다고 나랑 맞는 음악을 하는 밴드가 아닐 수 있었지만 지금까지 몇번들어본 결과는 만족스러운 행진 중이다. the eldar같은 곡은 지금의 나에게는 최고의 곡. 인트로+본곡 같은 스타일로 중복이 되는데 큰 단점같지는 않다. 조화롭게 잘 넘어갔다.   Nov 8, 2024

95-100 2024년까지 나온 오케스트라와의 협연 음반 모든 것을 통틀어 최고다. 다 어설픈 편곡때문에 그냥 원곡 듣고 말지 라는 생각이 드는 반면 이 음반은 최소 제대로 만들어진 영화음악 하나 들었다 할 정도로 편곡자체가 매우 잘 되어 밴드와 오케스트라가 제대로 융화 예상과 달리 스튜디오로 앨범을 냈지만 dvd 2disc를 사면 라이브 시디가 포함되어 있는 듯 하다.   3 days ago

훌륭한 데뷰. 1집을 꼭 사야 할까라는 생각으로 살다가 이제야 얻어걸린 느낌으로 사게 되었다. 물론 1집을 필수라고 여기지 않았지만 후회도 없다. 보컬이 멤버들보다 나이가 10여살 많은 걸로 기억하고 게디리의 좀 더 듣기 좋은 버전이라고 생각이 든다. 다만 믹싱이 마음에 들지 않아서 살짝 밋밋하다. 보컬과 드럼이 살짝 뒤로 간 느낌.리믹스가 절실하나 과연?   Nov 7, 2024
