Code I has done it again. Beautiful and soothing post-rock. Sep 25, 2016

Sheer power metal album. It's true that lyrics can be cheesy at times and the dragon stuff has been exploited to the core, but in the end this is fantasy power metal. Very good vocals, excellent instrumentation and quite polished production. A 2016's must-listen. Sep 21, 2016

Top-notch atmospheric black metal. One of the best albums of 2016. Sep 16, 2016

Another great single released by Veonity. Looking forward to their upcoming album! Sep 15, 2016

Excellent power metal song. Catchy and solid, with a superb sound production. Sep 15, 2016

It's almost impossible to equal Malmsteen's first albums in greatness and excellence. However, in World on Fire, the legend of neoclassical metal pays tribute to those past masterpieces and plays some new and amazing instrumental songs. Malmsteen's vocals aren't bad, but a more trained metal vocalist would have had a major impact on the non-instrumental tracks. Pleasantly surprised by this album. Sep 10, 2016

Although the sound of this album may be a little generic, the musicianship is really good and I greatly enjoyed the clean vocals. The harsh vocals, however, get rather repetitive. Putting aside these drawbacks, I would recommend listening to "Drift" because of the solid instrumental work and Jesse Cash's pleasant voice. Sep 8, 2016

Although the instrumental part is extremely good with impressive guitar solos, the slow clean vocals don't convince me at all. In my opinion, they sound too repetitive due to their tone and excessive calmness. Nevertheless, the effort thrown into this album (5 years and a one-man project), and its notable outcome, is absolutely praiseworthy. Sep 7, 2016

Sadly, Malkhedant is not as great as its cover art. I think that it needs a better production in relation to sound quality, mixing and mastering (e.g., the choir voices are almost inaudible, instrumental tracks should be more separated to distinguish them...). Despite this, we can find beautiful interludes amongst some songs and many furious and powerful riffs too. Nothing great, but decent album. Sep 5, 2016

I didn't expect that Crow'sClaw would release an album with "cinematic" sound. Different from their previous albums, but good nonetheless. Sep 5, 2016

Not as good as their previous album, "Vice Versa", but it is always a pleasure to listen to these Japanese power metal masters. Sep 4, 2016

I usually don't listen to metalcore, but this cover art caught my attention. In my opinion, "Incarnate" contains several tracks that are very powerful and catchy, whereas others are a little boring and generic. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed listening to this album. Sep 4, 2016

This album is another example of notable power metal arranged by Iron-Chino. Apart from the convincing and powerful guitar riffs present throughout the entire record, the majority of the guitar and keyboard solos herein are truly amazing. However, this time I believe that the instrumental versions of some songs are unnecessary. Leaving the first seven tracks alone would have been a wiser idea. Sep 3, 2016

Hizaki has undoubtedly reached the height of his musical career with "Rosario". An almost impeccable album. Aug 27, 2016

An awesome piece of art by master Norifumi Shima. Aug 24, 2016

In "Dreamless", Fallujah manages to create a very interesting and futuristic atmosphere throughout the entire record. This provides much consistency and solidity to the album. However, I think that this also leads to a major drawback: some songs seem to be quite similar. Anyway, the excellent musicianship here is as clear as day and the album feels fresh and innovative. Good album. The excellent instrumental work arranged by Iron-Chino makes up for the mediocre vocals. Aug 14, 2016

Return to Metalopolis has some interesting songs, such as the strange but beautiful "The Fall of Babylon" or the powerful "Row of Crows". This is a decent instrumental heavy metal album. Nothing great, but enjoyable. Aug 6, 2016

Although I consider both the production and the vocals to be quite average, the guitar and keyboard parts are undeniably outstanding. It is a shame that Satoshi Katada has not released more solo albums since Blue Streak. However, if anyone is interested in his other projects, you can listen to his work in 宇宙戦隊NOIZ. Jul 29, 2016

"I think I'm losing my mind..." From this initial whisper in Charging the Void to the last scream of Recharging the Void we listeners are exposed to an absolute musical perfection. For me, Terminal Redux is undeniably the best album of the year so far. A brutal masterpiece. Jul 14, 2016

Mediaeval Blood is as great as Dark Delirium's debut album Annihilation. Nevertheless, two significant aspects of the former which are not present in the latter are the following ones: the "modern" music nuances implemented and, of course, the improvement of the production. Undoubtedly, the discography of this band is a sheer pleasure to the ear. Jun 30, 2016

A very solid and powerful metal album. The eastern themes are marvellously executed. Jun 29, 2016

In Somniphobia is a very distinctive album. Herein, Sigh manages to create an unique atmosphere, eerie and nightmarish. In my opinion, there are a couple of tracks which are truly astounding. Nevertheless, the middle of the album, the real avant-garde section, is too experimental for my taste. I do not deny its creativity, but it is not my cup of tea. Highly recommendable material, nonetheless. Jun 25, 2016

Nov 4, 2024

Their most representative album of the eighties, full of innovation and class, with forceful themes and a benchmark in style for the hard rock genre, in fact it is their best-selling work to date! My personal precise rating is (94/100) Faves: Criyng In The Rain and Don´t Turn Away! Oct 30, 2024

완벽하다. 지금와서 painkiller 정도의 힘을 기대하는 것은 무리지만 관록과 경험으로 영그러진 놀라운 앨범을 냈다. 엔지니어링도 크게 한몫했다. Oct 31, 2024
