종교의 탈을 쓴 섹스메탈!
섹스를 포기하고 동정으로 살고있는 어둠의 자식들에게 니들도 섹스할수 있다고 외치는 악마, 고스트입니다,
이 앨범은 이번엔 메탈리카의 블랙 앨범을 만들고 말겠다는 Tobias Forge의 집념으로 한곡한곡이 앤썸급 완성도를 자랑한다.
1.Spirit
고스트의 컴백을 화려하게 알리는곡. 러쉬 부럽지 않은 근사한 곡 구성솜씨가 돋보인다.
2.From the Pinnacle to the pit
기타가 좀 멋있게 까불다가 꽤나 경건하게 마무리 하는곡.
드림씨어터에게 음악이 꼭 어려워야 찬란할수있다는게 아니란걸 가르쳐주고있다.
3.Cirice
메탈리카에 대한 당돌한 도전장! 고스트의 명함과도 같은 곡. 여자 마음을 들었다 놓았다 하다가 마지막에 오빠 여기있어 하며 숨막히게 끌어안는곡.
4. He is
틀어놓으면 전희가 필요없어지는 끈적한 노래. 종교의 탈을 쓴 섹스메탈.
5. Mummy Dust
왠만한 프록 메탈 부럽지 않은 날카롭고 현란한 곡. 등골을 서늘하게 하다가도 화려한 축포로 마무리한다.
6. Majesty
키스도 얼마든지 천상의 현기증나는 고딕식 대성당을 건축할수 있다는걸 보여주는 곡.
7. Absolution
다시 한번 메탈리카에게 도전! 러쉬+메탈리카는 이렇게 하는거야~
8. Deus in Absentia
메가히트가 될 자질이 충분했는데 Monstranc ... See More

<Hearken the thunder that's breaking in your heart>
Following the departure(read: firing) of Papa Emiritus II, Ghost immediately introduced his younger brother, Papa Emiritus III, and released the follow-up to 2013's Infestissumam, Meliora. Therefore the voice change isn't all that drastic(because of obvious reasons).
Meliora (Latin for "the pursuit of something better"), like other Ghost studio albums, has an album cover based on a movie poster, this time being the 1927 film "Metropolis" by Fritz Lang. And the album cover is pretty clever, with Papa Emiritus' posture actually looking like his own face. Pretty nice eh?
Something to note about: the album cover isn't all that's amazing to this album. Meliora ain't that bombastic. Every single song actually plays a significant part on shaping the album as a whole. For those who aren't all that familiar with Ghost's sound, they remind me of occult(ish) Fire of Unknown Origin-era Blue Oyster Cult with a psychedelic touch(imagine Tame Impala) gone heavy. Ghost pulls off a satanic cult atmosphere that percolates the whole album, from start to finish. Tracks like From the Pinnacle to the Pit, Cirice, and Majesty takes a heaviness-oriented road while tracks like Spirit, Absolution, and Deus In Absentia is more melodic and less heavy. One common thing though, is that the riffs and melodies are stupendously well written. They sometimes even demonically resonate with you, giving shivers down your spine. (What a jerk Papa Emiri ... Akosi celá hudba tejto maximálne precenenej kapely ide mimo mňa. Hoďte si v dnešnej dobe "šokujúci" imidž, pozháňajte si dobré vydavateľstvo, kde vás budú pretláčať a aj z priemernej skupiny sa zrazu tvorí niečo "kultové". Priemer, nuda, šeď.

1-2집의 음산함을 계승하면서도 대중지향적인 멜로딕함의 비중을 늘렸다. 이들이 메탈을 망쳤다고 욕할 수 있을까? 글쎄, 한 사람이라도 더 많이 공연장에 부를 수 있다면 그걸로도 충분하지 않으려나.
