흠. 약간 아날로그식 레코딩? Inquisition 입니다. 전작의 연장선 보다 약간 변화를 줬던 앨범입니다. 순수한 가치관을 따라왔던 노선을 조금은 탈티했고, 특히 보이스에서 유연성을 더욱 가마해서인지 그냥 물 새듯 흐르는 방향을 보여줍니다. 늘 한결 같으면서 변화와 공존의 길로 간 시도는 좋았으며 나른나른 이어지면서도 점진적으로 올드함을 유지하는 기타와 드럼파트가 베이스의 무거움에 간결함과 심플하고 모던함을 더욱 반복적으로 보여주지만, 유독 늘어지는 방향은 기분탓인가 싶기도 합니다.

들으면 들을수록 감탄을 하게 되는 앨범. 기묘하게 꼬이는 기타 프레이즈가 얹힌 둔탁하고 원초적인 그루브 속에서 거대한 우주가 만들어낸 지옥이 펼쳐진달까. 방법론이 점점 더 고착화되어가는 것이 살짝 아쉽지만, 그래도 아직은 만족도가 훨씬 큰 앨범이다. 이름값에서 오는 기대를 완벽하게 충족시킨.

역시 믿고 듣는 Inquisition.. 매번 듣는 거지만 이들의 사운드는 참 한결같다. Dagon의 능글맞고 소름끼치는 보컬이랑 개작살나는 리프, 그리고 Incubus의 폭풍같은 드러밍 또한 명불허전이다. 이렇게 꾸준히 좋은음악 들려줘서 참 고마울 따름
