great album

대부분 Progressive한 점이 매력적이라고 말하지만 개인적으로는 그루브한 멜로디가 더 돋보였다고 할 수 있는 Mastodon의 정규 7집. Precious Stones부터 Ancient Kingdom까지 몸을 리듬에 맡기다가 대미를 장식 마지막 Jaguar God에서 웅장함을 느낄 수 있다

Best metal album of the year! Mastodon sounds like Mastodon again with this one. Elements of their past records but with some new shit in there. The second half of the album is incredible stuff!

Progressive 라고 하기엔 귀에 착착 감기는 매력을 간과하는 것 같다. 그리고 프로듀서의 네임밸류 역시 무시못할 부분이다.

Great performance and emotive Mastodon album

Emperor of Sand succeeds in terms of the musicianship and its creative songwriting and concept. Overall, though, this is just less memorable for me compared to a lot of their other material. Still a solid project and Mastodon has yet to release a bad album.

심심하지 않다

Decent, unchanging proggy sludge metal. It's so solid and that's the problem. I'm already a fanboy of Mastodon but I'm not sure how many newbies will come in to the fandom from now.

이런 멜로딕한 분위기도 좋다. 신난다는 표현이 딱 어울리는 앨범.

Emperor of Sand is a solid and very progressive album, but, to be honest, it didn't strike me as much as I thought it would. Perhaps it will grow on me with further listens.
