무지막지 때려대는 패스트 블랙. 단순하면서 속도감넘치게 진행되는 리프와 두다다닥 패주는 드럼은 단순히 빠름을 넘어 무식함의 경지에 올랐다. 공격성 만빵인 보컬도 좋게 생각된다. 그야말로 눈돌아가서 달리는 블랙메탈인 것이다. 하지만 계속 달리기만 하다보니 연달아 듣다보면 곡들의 전개가 죄다 똑같이 느껴져 초반엔 속도감에 몸을 맡기고 즐길 수 있지만 절반을 넘어가면 점점 집중하기가 어렵다. 장단이 확실하여 호불호가 갈릴 수 밖에 없는 앨범. 83점.

사실 marduk하면 다들 떠올리는 '광폭함, 사악함, 폭력성!'은 그들만의 전유물이 아닐뿐더러 그들의 방식으로 빚어낸 그 사운드도 개인적으로는 좋게 봐줘도 B급 정도밖에는 되지 않는다고 생각한다.

헤비하고 강렬하고 사악한 블랙메탈!!!
듣는사람을 감동의 도가니로 몰아넣는 마덕이다. Darkthrone, Dark Funeral 과 함께 3대 패스트, 로우블랙으로 손꼽히는 Marduk 의 앨범은 강렬하고 빠르고 등등.. 수식어가 많이 붙지만 가장 쉽게 표현할 수 있는 단어는 사악 이다.
